Which of these energy sources are most viable in your community and why? Which energy sources would you prefer to be used, and why?
2. On April 20th, 2010, the Deepwater Horizon drilling platform exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. The disaster resulted in the largest marine oil spill in the history of the petroleum industry and ignited debate on the numerous complex topics including pollution, safety, and over-reliance upon oil as an energy source. List what you perceive to be the advantages and disadvantages of using petroleum-based fuels.

In order to generate nuclear power, radioactive enriched uranium atoms are bombarded with neutrons, splitting the uranium atoms in the process of nuclear fission.
