Day 1 Monday/Tuesday March 27, 28
You are able to choose your groups. You won't make a full commitment yet since you might change your mind when we start building our town, Suburbia. Your groups can be 1, 2 or 3 people but NOT 4 or more.
You need to take your binders. We don't need them anymore.
You will be taking notes in Sketchnote style today. You need a white paper, markers or pencils and you MUST pay attention. There will be three parts - How do Americans use energy? What types of energy do we use? What are some of the problems with energy? This paper will be turned in for 10 classwork points.
Article - What do we use energy for?
Video - How do Americans use energy?
Video - What types of energy do we use?
Site - What are the ten big problems related to energy? You will be assigned one of the problems and you will create a 'Site Snap' that summarizes the problem. You will then share your screen with the class and briefly describe the big problem. Click here to pull up the full instructions that your team will need. You can look at an example right here!
Homework: Pick up a copy of the U6: Energy Sources Lab, complete the front and back (your group members will each choose 2 different energy sources for the back) as HW. It is due next class! Use the online copy of energy sources to complete this work.
